I joined this social network because I was very curious to see how people in this network wanted to change our environment. First, starting on a local scale and then hopefully reaching others through thoughts and ideas and spread beyond NJ/NY. Good, great lets get this going.

Not everyone will be active. We need to accept that. Others will be late bloomers (as I am) and other will be even later bloomers, skeptics to the end.
We can complain, or we can act. The second is much more difficult, but much more rewarding for the individual and for everyone in the person's life who is touched and inspired to make better choices.
What we should continually ask ourselves is: What am I doing to make things better? What can I do differently today, this week, this month to take a baby step forward?
i like your moto "less talking and more doing"
i hope to start getting some action done in our community as well. in the meantime, start in your own little domain. changing lightbulbs, composting, coserving energy, waste and other non-renewable is the first step toward sustainability.
