accept from working as part of two eco-teams: Rockland Sustainable Society and Israel Sustainable Society which both aiming for adopting sustainable lifestyle at the household level and then increase membership to a local community level, I was involved with Step It Up 2007 campaign and will start working with the local Sierra Club Chapter. I am an energy management grad student and as my thesis I will probably will research and implement a childhhod sustainability education program and check its influence on their families lifestyle.

What book, article, film etc. caused your awakening?
I couldn't tell you a specific film, book, or article that made me realize we've got a mess on our hands. It's all the bits and pieces. A youtube video here, a newspaper article there, it adds up and eventually you realize....Oh my, its people vs. the planet.
What do you wish were different about your town/city
I wish people would conserve water a little more. Just a little. Everywhere you go, sprinklers. Recently, I heard on the news that restaurants are no longer going to serve water here in SD unless it is requested. Thats a small step that will make a big change. I wish more people would utilize the local recycling centers. A lot of people redeem the vouchers at the store I work at. If more people knew about them, more people would go to them.
Word of advice to those who are on the verge of their Awakening
Haha. This is kind of silly. There is no "on the verge" of anything. Its as simple as being educated. Watch closely, listen carefully.
Recommended Reading:
"The World Without Us" By Alan Weisman. First book that comes to mind I guess.
