Geothermal Heating & Cooling System

This is the website of a company who specializes in geothermal solutions. They claim a geothermal system will completely obliterate your heating/AC bills, while at the same time, drastically reduce the amount of oil and natural gas your household consumes, as well as the co2 pollution your household contributes to the atmosphere.

Unlike solar, geothermal is perfect for our area, since it does not depend on atmospheric conditions (clouds, weather etc.) but rather relies on a layer under the surface of the earth (not too far down at all) where the air is a consistent temperature all year long. Very sweet. This technology has been around since the 1940s believe it or not, and has been improved upon ever since.

The new extension of the Nyack Library will be heated/cooled by geothermal system. It will save huge amounts of money for Nyack taxpayers, and contribute to the town of Nyacks effort of carbon reduction.

nice! I read two weeks ago that only 2 members of the Rockland Legislature voted against that initiative:
