We Are Awake

Thinking globally, acting locally

Hello group,

I prepared an excell sheet to calculate our household realized CO2 reduction due to the various actions we took in the past three months. The spreadsheet is organized by the Low Carbon Diet order of actions and may not include all our actions such as compost for example but it can give you a good indication of your acievement in the program so far.

In addition, I would recommend calculating your houshold carbon footprint using the calculator on the Low Carbon Diet website:

http://www.empowermentinstitute.net/lcd/lcd_files/LCDcalcNet.html

make sure to use the data before you started the program and if you can't get your total online, just add the CO2 emission equivalents up using a calculator.

If you casn't do the worksheet, try to have all the data available so we can calculate our group total on sunday.

See you Sunday at 10am sharp.

Hi Daphy and Ronen,

Congratulations on this great achievement and thanks for sharing. I was glad to see you passed the program on to two more households. Can you share it with the rest of the group? also please recheck your wall insulation entry. you entered 3% of walls are well insulated, it sounds abit low, is that right?

Here's the Daly household ecoteam summary spreadsheet. Some of the data it asks for is a bit fuzzy... but I like fuzzy math, as long as it works for you and not against you!

hi tom,
thanks for your reply. you filled 8% for percentage of airleaks fixed, and storm windows installed, is that right? it seems abit low to me...
it also seems I made a mistake in the calculation formula for the carbon offsets and the carbon saved at the workplace. it is one for one not one for 100.
please send me the corected percentages so I can recalculate your total.
