Vaccine Choice for New Yorkers
Dear Group:
for the first time, we have 3 bills before each body of the NY legislature (senate and assembly). The first two bills are to strengthen existing religious and medical exemptions and improve protections for parents, as schools routinely deny these waivers and MDs are pressured into narrow standards. The last bill is to provide for a philosophical exemption, which NY doesn't presently offer.
Attached are sample letters for Assembly and Senate both. Please take a moment to familiarize yourself with this critical issue and feel free to use the sample letters as boilerplate to draft a letter to send to your legislators. We have a groundswell of support at the national level, but we are hearing repeatedly that the elected officials need to hear from CONSTITUENTS.
